The newest window in the church was installed in the Sacristy adjacent to the chancel in 2006. This was given in memory of a long-time parish member, Norman Pera, by his family and friends.
The window depicts a father and son sharing in the joy of working with wood. Joseph was an “upright and hopeful” man, who loved the ordinary world and the people around him—and he was a loving father to Jesus. In this case, we are able to understand how the symbolism of a window can connect with the individual memorialzed. Norm Pera was a Joseph.
The supportive structures, leaded structure, clear colors and details show us what restoration of the old windows will accomplish.
